For already eighteen years, Marina Portorož, at the Slovenian coast, has been home of Internautica, nowadays the greatest Slovenian boat show project, following the path of development, trend of growth and excellence, not only on national, but also on the international level.

Internautica is the biggest nautical event in central Europe, recognized as such, due to its originality and exceptional quality. It has become a window, not only to the world of sea, but also to the world in general. With its excellence, the event has attracted people from all over the world to meet at the Slovenian coast and mark the beginning of the tourist season. Some visit Slovenia for the first time and thus recognize it as a maritime country, sailing into the Slovenian sea and seeing the excellence of its potential to go further. With such events, Slovenia is opening itself to tourism, not only nautical, but also a large package of all beauty that our country has to offer.
I myself am also a sea enthusiast; in its wonderful blue of large proportions, many a time do I find inspiration for my everyday work. The window to the world of sea is limitless and precisely its greatness and infinity force us to try understanding how big this world is and how many opportunities and possibilities await. The wind, which carries the sails to travel the miles of the unknown and make them familiar, has been inspiring me with its fearlessness for some time now. Wind is powerful and so are all of us, moving in the direction that we had set; the direction for which we believe can lead to our goals.
As the President of the Republic of Slovenia and as a citizen of our homeland, I would like to express gratitude to the organizers for their effort, longstanding work that stems from persistence, bravery and will. I wish you all the best at this year’s event and for many years to come.
Slovenian sea is unique and it is ours. Let the sails flutter in the wind!
