Internautica 2012 is now officially open.
Internautica 2012, 17th International Boat show, opened its doors. The traditional spring nautical event, which belongs to the more influential Central European nautical events in this time of the year, will take place from 8th till 13th of May in Marina Portorož. For already a number of years, Internautica has been a member of the prestigious international federation IFBSO, which joins the most eminent and established boat shows and fairs. Both for exhibitors, as well as visitors, both brands guarantee a well-organised event worth visiting.
The Internautica 2012 exhibition site is formed in a similar way as in previous years. The covered exhibition spaces primarily feature nautical equipment, technical accessories, sportswear, footwear, while a special area will be reserved for the Slovenian innovators, who have dedicated their work to development, improvement and innovations in nautics. The outdoor exhibition surfaces and moorings showcase novelties from the field of sports motor boats, motor yachts and sailboats.
As mentioned above, this year's special treats are two nautical innovations, fruit of Slovenian innovators' labour. Both vessels have their official live premiere at Internautica. The first innovation to be presented is Quadrofoil, which lifts its hull above the water at the speed of 12 km/h and quickly speeds up to the final 40 km/h with a 3,7 kW electric engine. The vessel is made of premium materials and it is easy to transport on land. Sailing a Quadrofoil is dynamic and quiet, since one does not feel the waves and it is characterised by the quiet electric and economical engine. Quadrofoil is intended for two persons and with its large seats; it offers enough comfort for longer adrenaline rides as well. It is a complete technical and design novelty, which will become a milestone in the perception of nautics at the adrenaline-ecological level, since it provides carefree enjoyment for two and competitive atmosphere, both in the sense of dynamics, as well as utilisation of natural resources.
The second innovation is a better known vessel, wFoil, which received a bronze recognition at the 6th Slovenian Forum of Innovations and was selected among top ten enterprising ideas for the year 2012 by magazine Finance. The advantage of wFoil is above all stable resistance to water, which enables the reaching of high speed at approximately 6 knots. The vessel also prides on exceptional stability, agility and simple navigation, and ensures cavitation control, which results in quiet and fast sailing even on the rough sea.
Another among this year's novelties showcased at Internautica is the Riva Iseo boat, boasting soft and clear lines and sophisticated interior design, with special emphasis on detail. Iseo is an excellent option for daily cruises, even in waters with high environmental value, since they will also release this model with Zero Emission Mode hybrid engine. This is the first yacht of its kind to be equipped with both infotainment and GPS charts built for the Apple platform for iPad.
The Italian shipyard Cranchi announced a number of surprises for this year's show. The first one is undoubtedly Endurance 30 sports boat, successor of the highly popular CSL 27, also chosen as »European Power Boat of the Year 2012«. The boat is intended for daily sports cruises, with interior offering enough space for a longer stay. The shipyard is presenting some more novelties: motor yacht cruiser M40 Soft Top, characterised by luxurious and spacious interior, an attractive sun mattress at bow and spacious and well-designed stern. They are also showcasing the model Sixty-six fly, with elaborate interior made of premium quality modern materials and attractive exterior, which will undoubtedly satisfy the most demanding connoisseurs of luxury yachts.
Visitors also have the opportunity to view in detail Greenline 40, a hybrid boat, currently one of the top selling boats in Slovenia, which offers comfortable cruising with its 12 m of length, practically free of the damaging influence on the environment.
Apart from the mentioned presentations and novelties, the open exhibition area also presents larger vessels of the following global manufacturers: Aqua Royal, Atlantic Marine, Atlantis, Austin Parker, Bavaria, Delphia, Dominator, Ferretti, Galeon, Hallberg Rassy, Island Packet Yachts, Jeanneau, Linssen, Mochi Craft, Nautica Salpa, Pershing, Prestige, Regal, Salpa, Sas Vektor, Seaway, Vanga Yachts, Windy, Wybac, X-Yachts and other prominent nautical brands.
The exhibition site will host various professional meetings, conferences, seminars and other social events. Moreover, the environmentally coloured Saturday will be especially interesting, since the Environment Day, apart from the traditional Blue Flag rising, also offers a rich educational and cultural programme. As every year, supported by favourable wind, Internautica will host the traditional regatta Internautica Crocs / Zzero Cup 2012. Apart from that, nautical fair events are primarily intended for potential buyers, who can view the boats in detail, carry out test drives and even buy a vessel at a special promotional price.
The six days of Internautica will see the visitors and special jury choose the Internautica 2012 Boat of the Year in the following categories: Sport motor boats, Sailboats, Motor Yachts and Nautical project of the year. All registered participants of this year's exhibition participate in this competition.
Internautica's organisers have already announced the following trade show of new and used boats and nautical equipment - the Autumn Nautical Trade Show, which will take place from 13th to 16th of September 2012. Experience and longstanding tradition of spring Internautica will thus be consolidated in the autumn event as well. Exhibition spaces of the autumn trade show will be arranged in the central part of Marina Portorož. Moorings and open exhibition surfaces will be adequately prepared for the quality presentation of all exhibited products and services.
